There are a number of local pastors who are "caught up" in this stuff. Further, I think all UM pastors need to be better equipped to counter this teaching to parishioners who are "caught up" in this false teaching.
David HarstinDaniel Davidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11824862757218359590noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3541424098637282033.post-43022769974392804752010-03-12T23:17:14.377-05:002010-03-12T23:17:14.377-05:00[Great, readable blog! That was long.
Jesus spoke about His coming...Wow! That was long.

Jesus spoke about His coming in the clouds and Paul spoke about us meeting Him in the clouds. What does Paul mean there? If I missed the answer in your blog then I apologize.

The Bible does speak about "taking" and "gathering." I assume you teach that taking the one and leaving the other simply means that the evil is removed (taken) and the good is gathered together?

Thanks in advance for your answer!

DaveAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3541424098637282033.post-7963520325287793542010-02-17T23:46:10.409-05:002010-02-17T23:46:10.409-05:00Greg, There is a link to my blog on The Millennium...Greg, There is a link to my blog on The Millennium within this blog.

I wrote a chapter on Revelation in my upcoming book, and I'm expanding it into a commentary. Of course the rapturites reference Revelation, but the 3 texts I blogged about here are their foundational texts.

I haven't read Dickson and Clarke, but I'd like to.

Thanks for reading Jesus Unplugged! I got onto it through Google's e-books; it came up when I did a search on Baxter Kruger. It seems to be along the same lines as "Jesus, Mean and Wild" by Mark Galli.

Keep it up. I'll come back to your blog again. The Pondering Pilgrimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06925346145989056425noreply@blogger.com
